Although I have been painting in oils for some time now I decided to venture into fluid acrylics. This site will feature all of my work in fluid acrylics and may also include a small selection of my works in oils. I hope to include some instructional videos on "how to do fluid acrylics" and other related topics but, unfortunately I do not, yet, have the conficence to do such things.

Relating to my training in art it is brief as I never really took any courses in art. I was more of an academic and my career path was, almost, predetermined by this sad fact. Now I am retired I have the time to indulge in a lifelong passion for art. When at school I did not really partake in art lessons and I did not take art as an option when the opportunity arose, a fact I soon regretted. When I went on to college met interest in art caught fire. I would say that this happened due to a few factors but mainly that most of my friends were in the college of art while I was in the technical college. I would hang around with my friends in the art college and one of the lecturers was an amazing character who set my interst in art alight. I began to stay a little too long with my friends and well into their actual lessons. I was rather a bold person back then and many just considered me cheeky. However the tutors at the college took notice of me and decided that, rather than ban me they would allow me to freely come and go. The only caveat was that if anything "went missing" from the college the police would be immediately directed towards me. Knowing that I wasn't going to be taking anything from the college I eagerly agreed and it was only years later that I realised how lucky I had been. So many things made that period of my life special and I was extremely lucky that nobody else took anything from the college while I was there.

So, bringing this right up to date, I have only created a very small number of works in acrylics but I am already addicted to working with "fluid acrylics" and I intend to devote much time to it.
